Ferio at first glance was an obnoxious young man not to be trusted as Umi-chan has examined the first time they crossed each other at the enchanted forest. But as one would get to know him like the girls did, you would see a boy grow into the serious young man through the trials he has sought.
One thing noticeable about him is his love for Fuu-chan. He was completely smitten by this friend of Hikaru’s. He can be fun-loving and carefree but when duty calls, you can count on him. I like him fairly well since he’s a likeable fellow…it’s hard not to find him amusing. Besides, I also respect him for being the younger brother of Princess Emeraude.
When he was still a young boy…Emeraude was to be taken into solitude to start her duty as the Pillar under the guidance of Guru Clef. In order to lighten the burden of his sister, this thoughtful little boy asked as a last wish that Emeraude erase his memory of her, so that she may not be concerned about worrying of him and could therefore concentrate on her duties. But she as expected said that it would be impossible and unthinkable on her part to ever forget him as her only brother, so as a last token and gift before she casts the spell that would erase his memory, she gave him two amulets that Ferio should hold so that she would at least be able to hear him even if she would not be able to see him.
But as time passed and as her power weakened during the time when she had unforgivable feelings for my brother Zagato, the spell she cast over Ferio little by little vanquished until he completely regained his memory of her and realized that she was actually his beloved sister and the only family he had.
After this realization, he became aware of the duties that he should carry out…and one of them is to assure the Magic Knights that he does not blame them for the death of Emeraude since it was her own wish to be with her one true love at last. As it is until today, he remains faithful to his lady-love, Fuu, and would do anything for her by the way I and everybody else sees it…a wonderful relationship…one would be blind to not notice how much feelings he has towards that fine young lady.
