She is the protagonist of the story. She likes all kinds of
sports. She collects tea cups of the rose. She is good at
cooking. She does not like anything that is not fair and
aboveboard. She happened to get involved in the duels of
Student Council, and became "engaged" to the Rose Bride,
Anthy. Utena always wears her black uniform that is supposed to be against the school regulation, but she claims it's okay because the rule doesn't say a girl can not wear a boy's uniform. In Japan, the black uniform is generally for boys. The reason why she wears a boy's uniform is that she wants to become a prince who's meant to protect a princess, rather than a princess meant to be protected. She lost her parents when she was very young. She got her ring with the Rose Signet from a mysterious prince back then. | ||||||||||||||||||||
