Patriarch of the Kasuga family, landscape photographer, and unsuccessful enforcer of the "don't use the Power" rule, Takashi-san sits and reads his newspaper, dispensing sage advice and trying to keep his kids from doing something that would force them to move yet again.

The Kasuga family's cat and innocent bystander, regularly the recipient of dangerously high amounts of Kurumi's and Manami's attention. Jingoro only appears in the anime.

Kyousuke's maternal grandparents, the side of the family from which he and his sisters got their "power". They live in the country, where they are used to using their powers more openly. This causes problems for Kyousuke, who tries to keep them from letting their "family secret" be discovered, especially by his friends.
Grandpa also has several items which, when charged with the "power", can do some amazing tricks, such as stop time or switch souls, and these also tend to get Kyousuke in trouble as well.

Akemi was Grandpa and Grandma's daughter, Takashi's wife, and mother of Kyousuke, Kurumi, and Manami.
Akemi died following the twins' childbirth.
Akemi and Takashi meet after he gives first aid to Akemi's bird, and they fall in love. However, Akemi's father was vehemently opposed to Takashi's marriage proposal. He challenges Takashi to retrieve snow from the local mountain's snowpack for his drinks before the local festival begins, knowing that a normal man wouldn't have a chance at this.
However, as Takashi makes his way up the mountain, he sees Akemi's bird circling overhead. Feeling Akemi's spirit with him, this gives him the strength to continue, and just as the festival is starting, an exhausted Takashi arrives with the snow he promised. This impresses Akemi's father so much that he allows her to marry him.

Kazuya is Kyousuke's younger cousin, a very powerful ESPer and a dead ringer for a young Kyousuke. He can read minds, and loves to torture his big cousin by telling everybody around what he's thinking - he especially likes telling Madoka what Kyousuke is thinking about her!
He also likes to exchange minds with Kyousuke (he does this by bumping heads with him) so that he can create all sorts of mischief by doing things with Madoka and Hikaru that he knows his cousin would never do.

Kyousuke's other cousin is Akane (Kazuya's older sister, about Kyousuke's age), and her ESPer power is the ability to appear to be anyone she wants to be, but for only one person at a time. She loves to tease her cousin by pretending to be either Madoka or Hikaru, but her real joy is her infatuation with Madoka (!!)
