Starting with the fact that it would have to be a rather simplistic game,
with none of the cool stuff the Saturn titles have (no animation, no voice
acting, none of the color and brilliance of the series), I think it's a bad
idea. Add to that the fact that Sega's worked very hard for ST to be
associated with them (just like Sony's worked hard with the FF series), and
you can see why I feel Red is shafting the company for a few lousy extra
bucks.

Games have to sell a certain number of copies to get re-released for Saturn
Collection just like the PSX re-releases here in the States. Apparently,
Hanagumi Columns just didn't sell well enough to warrant a re-release. It's
not 'the great god' Sega's fault.

This isn't any sort of 'system wars' mentality, and that's something you
shouldn't even have brought up. I'm not opposed to a Win 95/98 version of
the first ST game because it's just that...a port of an already existing
game. What pisses me off is that Red's going to do an original GBC game.
It will probably be a rather average collection of mini-games (the reason
Teigeki Graph and Steam Radio Show _work_ is because besides the mini-games,
there are FMV interviews with the seiyuu and other nice interactive bits),
and it might actually serve as a turn-off for Japanese fans who've never
played an ST game before. I mean, if they pick up the GBC ST title and see
that it's not a very big deal, they won't bother getting the later
installments of the series on next gen systems, thinking it's the same sort
of thing.

Errr...I never said that...and I've always been of the opinion that ST3
should be the conclusion to the series anyway.
