Sweet innocent romance is quite rare in anime today (replaced mostly by things more explicit, warped and unrefined...), Marmalade Boy is a refreshing exception. Upon analysis, Marmalade Boy is probably just another campus soap drama, but it's among the best ones. The story revolves around the bitter-sweet (thus "Marmalade") romance between Miki Koishikawa and Yuu Matsuura (both in senior high), plus a host of interesting supporting characters. Everything in this series has "cuteness" written all over, from character design to the excellent songs. If you like shoujo romantic comedy or if you just like cute things, this show's for you.
