In a jealous fit, Koji raped Migumi. Izumi was forced to face the fact that it was not fair to use Migumi to escape Koji. Then out of the blue, Izumi’s mother who everyone thought was dead, showed up and apologized to Izumi for (unintentional) stabbing him. After she apologized, she committed suicide by jumping off a building right in front of Izumi and Koji. Izumi was very upset and had an emotional break down. Koji tried his best to comfort Izumi. Izumi was in total turmoil with his feeling toward Koji. On one hand he did not trust or love anyone (other than his sibling), on the other he wanted to trust Koji. At the end of the volume 5, they made love.
