OVERVIEW:	In this episode we saw the birth of Nerv. Misato was the only person to survive the 2nd Impact when his father put him in an escape pod before the expedition was wipe out. For 2 years Misato was catatonic and was unable to speak. Prof Fuyutsuki was investigating the real cause of the 2nd impact when he bumbed into unexplained pictures and the mysterious orgnization called Seele. He went to Gendou to demand an explanation when Gendou showed him the real purpose of Seele and asked his help to fight and deceive them, which he agreed. Geofront was still being constructed and also the Magi computer. Here the first clone of Rei was introduced which was later killed by the inventer of the Magi Computer Dr. Naoko Akagi (mother of Dr. Ritsuko Akagi) and her subsequent suicide. Yui, the mother of Shinji was also introduced and it was shown that she disappeared inside an Eva robot during a synchronization test. Back in the year 2015, Kaji kidnapped Fuyutsuki but later returned him after being interrogated by Seele members the next scene we heard Kaji being shoot.
DETAILED SUMMARY:	The scene opens with Kaji making a phone call from a public phone using his Nerv Red ID, but the person he was calling answered in an answering machine, so he left a message. The next scene we see two secret agents of Nerv approaching Misato in her office and explaining that Fuyutsuki went missing and the prime suspect is Kaji. Misato understanding what the agents meant handed her Nerv ID card and side-arm to the agents and Misato was relieved of duty temporarily until the situation is settled. Next we see Fuyutsuki being interrogated in a dark room by holographic 1:4:9 twelve black monoliths representing the 12-person Seele organization asking Fuyutsuki to help them with their little problem with Gendou. "Please help us, Professor Fuyutsuki", at the mention of professor, Fuyutsuki remembered his days as a professor in old Kyoto way back in 1999 when he met for the first time a brilliant student known as Yui Ikari. Fuyutsuki was studying bio-metaphysical research and a teacher recommend Yui Ikari to join his research laboratory . After finishing her thesis Fuyutsuki asked what she plans to do after graduation, whether to find work or continue with her studies, Yui answered "I plan to start a family, if I find the right man" and this made Fuyutsuki gaze Yui with a suprised look. Back at 2015, Seele probe Fuyutsuki about the S2 engine of Eva-01 complaining that Gendou is making a god of an Eva robot that was only to function for 5 minutes, now it can run without external power for half an eternity. And one Seele member said "and worst, he plans to make his son, a son of a god". But Fuyutsuki's mind was back at 1999 when he first met Gendou Rokubungi. The police called Fuyutsuki that there is a man arrested for brawling and the person to be contacted was him, suprised since he havent heard such a name, anyway he went to bail Gendou out, Gendou reveiled that it was Yui Ikari' s idea that he contacts Fuyutsuki. The next scene we see Fuyutsuki and Yui enjoying a friendly walk to admire the autumn foliage when Fuyutsuki confronted Yui about Gendou, and mentioned his disgust toward the man, Yui answed "professor, he is a nice man, people just doesnt know it" and Fuyutsuki replied "I will be better off not knowing him then, he is an interesting fellow but I will never grow to like him". But then Gendou started to use the intelligence of Yui and her backbone organization to get to his objective and that was the first time Fuyutsuki heard of a strong influential organization known as Seele. And then the 2nd Impact happened in the south pole in the year 2000, the year 2001 was like hell for everybody, in the year 2002, Fuyutsuki lead an investigative team to probe the real reason of the 2nd Impact to the south pole when he and Gendou met again. Fuyutsuki was suprised to see Gendou because he was part of the Katsuragi expedition that was annihilated during the 2nd impact with only the daughter of the leader of the Katsuragi Expedition surviving the event. Gendou replied that he returned to Japan a day before the faithful event and was spared. He then corrected the professor by telling his name is not Gendou Rokubungi anymore but Gendou Ikari and handed Fuyutsuki a card from Yui and Fuyutsuki was suprised to discover that the two got married. He then asked Gendou where is Yui and Gendou said "caring for our baby boy". Back at 2015, Misato was isolated and she remembered the time when Fuyutsuki came and visited her, she was catatonic then way back in 2002 when the professor lead the investigative team to the south pole. She was just 16 then. Anyway, Fuyutsuki got hold of a picture of a giant creature of light taken by one of the cameras just before the 2nd Impact, that and the knowledge of a hidden organization known as Seele, he wasnt fooled when the United Nations declared the 2nd Impact was an asteroid hitting the south pole. He then went back to Japan and in 2003 went to see Gendou who was the chief of research of a Seele backed UN Artificial Evolution Laboratories in Hakone and demanded why the UN tried to hide the picture of the giant creature that destroyed the Katsuragi Expedition and could well be the cause of the 2nd Impact. He also demanded that Seele reveal the contents of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Gendou unmoved by the demands of Fuyutsuki, raised and told the professor to do as he pleased but before that Gendou said "I want to show you something, sir" so he and Fuyutsuki went to the under-construction Geofront. Gendou then introduced Fuyutsuki to Dr. Naoko Akagi and we see that Naoko is programming what in the future will be the super computer MAGI. In the far corner we see young Ritsuko looking at the three still with her natural dark hair. Gendou and Naoko showed Fuyutsuki a prototype prototype of what will be the future Evangelion Robot and Gendou explained the E-project and his intention of making a new history for mankind which is different from Seele proposes. Fuyutsuki agreed and joined. Back at 2015, Maya was wondering where Misato is and that made Ritsuko to remember the first time she met Misato. It was way back in 2005 when she met her at the cafeteria of Tokyo-2 University at Tokyo-2 Nagano, Japan. She changed her hair from dark to blond and she was taken by Misato's light hearted personality, a big change from the catatonic state she was in just 3 years ago. After a while the two met Kaji and soon Misato and Kaji started living together. Back a year earlier at the year 2004, in Hakone, 2nd Underground Laboratory, a synchronization was being conducted and a young Shinji was looking and waving to his mother while Naoko and Fuyutsuki disapprove of having a child around in such an important day as this and inside the laboratory. Yui answered "I want to show my son that there is a bright future for him" but the experiment failed and Yui Ikari disappeared in the testing. From there on, according to Naoko, Gendou's personality changed. Gendu disappeared for a week and then when he returned he said that Seele has approved of the commencing of the Adam-project and the Human Complement Program. Along with the E-project, there were the 3 missions for the future Nerv. In the year 2008, Ritsuko was transferred to handle the E-project and entered Gehirn. At the day she landed the new job, she witnessed the kissing of Gendou and her mother, Naoko on a completed Central Command Center. In the year 2010, Naoko and Ritsuko was suprised to see that Gendou was taking care of a girl instead of his son, Shinji. Gendou introduced the girl as Rei Ayanami. Naoko saw that this child is very very similar to Yui and that made her search for Rei's profile in the computer but found nothing. Anyway the super computer MAGI was completed and was about to go online and Naoko was telling Ritsuko that the computer has her 3 personalities programed into it. The scientist in her, the mother in her and the woman in her. Ritsuko answered that he will never understand men because men and women are not logical. Ritsuko pardoned herself because she was to meet Misato coming home from Germany and have a drink together. She also told her mother that Kaji and Misato parted ways and that shocked Naoko and she said "and I thought they were the perfect couple. " So Ritsuko left and Naoko was left behind when young Rei appeared and teased Naoko about her being a lover of Gendou even though Gendou doesnt really love her and that infuriated Naoko and stangled young Rei. While she strangled Rei, she said "Even if you die you have a replacement!" Naoko realizing what she had done and finally realizing that Gendou just used her, leapt from the balcony of the Central Command and hit the just completed Super Computer MAGI below in the eve of the computer about to go on-line. The following day Keele Lorenz, head of Seele and the Human Complement Committee, announced that the organization known as Gehirn will be formally named NERV. Everybody from the original team was transferred to the new organization except Dr. Naoko Akagi. Back at 2015, Kaji went back to get Fuyutsuki after discovering the real purpose of Seele and released and returned Fuyutsuki back to Nerv. Fuyutsuki warned him that this could cost him his life because he has betrayed Nerv and then betrayed Seele. Back at Nerv headquarters, Misato was re-instated and her side-arm and ID returned after the safe return of Fuyutsuki. Meanwhile we see Kaji in his last moments saying "Hey, Arent you a bit late" and BANG a shoot was heard. Misato went back home and noticed that the answering machine has a message and with shaking fingers she pressed the start button and Kaji's last message was heard. Kaji said "Katsuragi, the truth is out there with you, just proceed without doubting, if ever I see you again, I will tell you the words I tried to tell you but wasnt able to tell you 8 years ago." and with the last message tears from Misato drops to the table where the phone was placed and she shaked the table and sobbed loudly, Shinji heard the sobbing but didnt comfort Misato instead he went back to his room and covered his head with a pillow and realized that he was still a child and can not be of help to even Misato.
CHECKPOINT:	There are two official cards of UN NERV personnels, one is the official picture ID card and another is a red non-picture personal ID card The 1:4:9 black monoliths also appeared in the movie 2001 Space Odyssey. The brawling and the prison bailing of Gendou was probably arranged for Fuyutsuki to meet Gendou, a plan set up by Yui Ikari. When the Fuyutsuki Investigative Team visited the south pole after the 2nd Impact, we noticed a lot of white spike formations above a red sea water. These white spikes are salt formations, also known as Sodom's Salt Pillars. 16 year old Misato was never sent back to Japan but instead stayed on a UN research ship to prevent anybody from interviewing her and giving doubts about the declaration that the 2nd impact was caused by an asteroid. When she was released remains unknown. But 3 years later she was in Tokyo-2 University The geofront's surface was the original sea level surface before the 2nd Impact and the sea level rosed flooding 81% of all land mass in the planet, the building being constructed is the future Nerv Headquarters The proto-type prototype Evangelion robot here has the head of Eva-00 but has 5 optic eyes. It was color light yellow-orange. The english title refers to Shinji's reaction when he saw Misato crying and yet did not comfort her. Gendou used Naoko to build the super computer MAGI by fulfilling her sexual desire even before Yui's diappearance. MAGI computer is said to be the 5th generation super computer that uses a cloned human brain as a CPU. according to Director Anno, Kaji was shoot by either a Nerv personnel or a Seele agent.
TRIVIA:	Kaji's Nerv ID Card is "UN NERV RYOJI KAJI 10100100110110101" Misato's Nerv ID Card is "UN NERV MISATO KATSURAGI 10100010010010100" Seele's Monolith Sign reads "SEELE 01 SOUND ONLY" Yui's card has an angel holding a heart in her bosom whose hair color is that of Rei and it writes "JUST MARRIED: IKARI GENDOU, YUI : long time no see professor, how are you sir?"
BLOPPERS:	If Kaji was using his special Nerv ID to phone people why does the public phone act like its a normal telephone card with the units left decreasing from 50 to 48, what happens if the units runs out, does it mean Kaji cant use his Nerv ID anymore to call from a public phone?
