More Info: Story Synopsis, Characters, Mechanics, Credits

The most epic of the non-Tomino Gundam stories, Gundam 0083 attempts to bridge the seven-year gap between the original series and the followup Z Gundam. As well as depicting the creation of the fascistic Titans, it combines huge naval battles, colony drops, massive nuclear attacks, monster mobile armors and top-quality animation into a fan-pleasing smorgasbord. The series was created by an all-star team of Sunrise regulars under the supervision of Takashi Imanishi.

The thirteen-episode video series, subtitled "Stardust Memory," was released in twelve volumes from 1991 to 1992. In the "GxG Unit" promotion, a preview version of episode 1 was released in December 1990 as a special bonus with purchase of a Gundam F91 movie ticket.

One month before the final episode of the video series arrived, a movie compilation was released under the title "Last Blitz of Zeon." This cut out large portions of the story, but didn't add any significant new material or make any noteworthy changes. However, it did spoil the ending for everyone.
