Misato Katsuragi

Misato is the direct senior officer of Shinji, Asuka, and Rei. As a guardian, she
lives with Shinji, Asuka, and "Penpen" (Hot Spring Penguin) in the apartment
called "Comfort 17." Because she is the commander, she uses her
talent for devising strategies when angels attack Tokyo-3. However, when not in
combat, she acts like a cheerful lady. So Shinji's classmates love her.
On the other hand, she is optimistic, rough, and loose. Her blood type is AO.
She also likes to eat odd things. She likes beer too.
Dr. Ritsuko Akagi and Ryohji
Kaji are her old friends from college. She used to live with Kaji 8 years
ago.
15 years ago, when she was 14, she experienced the Second Impact. Her father gave
his life to save Misato. She devotes herself to the destruction of Angels. There is a scar just above her stomach still
visible from 15 years ago. Sometimes she treats the pilots as her tools. That
might be because of her obsession to destroy the Angels.
Her car in the first episode has been converted to an electric car. But when she
went to pick up Shinji, the car got trashed because of the attack of the third
angel. She has 33 more payments to make! I really feel sorry for her :-( Does
she get some extra money from Nerv to support Shinji and Asuka? I wonder what
kind of budget she keeps (if she actually plans one).
