Satoshi, hyper as ever!Satoshi (Ash)

Satoshi (Ash) is the young hero of the Pokemon anime; cheerful and full of energy, he wants to become the world's best Pokemon trainer and nothing will stop him from being that. He starts off on his quest with Pikachu, the cute electric-mouse Pokemon, who at first isn't very enthusiastic to go with him. However, Satoshi (Ash) eventually wins his friendship, and soon after, Kasumi (Misty) and Takeshi (Brock), join him on his quest. He has a lot to learn in the ways of Pokemon training, but thanks to his friends, he slowly learns how to be the best.

I only have one complaint against Satoshi (Ash), actually; he's extremely hyper-active, and he seems excited whenever anything good happens to him. Someone please put some Valium in his food? ^_^;

Japanese voice actor: Matsumoto Rica (Pritz in Final Fantasy Anime, Kei in Dirty Pair Flash)

Kasumi with KoduckKasumi (Misty)

By the way, Kasumi (Misty) is the girl, not the platypus-like Pokemon ^_^;

Kasumi (Misty) is a young woman who joins Satoshi's quest to be the best Pokemon trainer in the world. Down to earth but enthusiastic, Kasumi will help Satoshi in whatever way she can, but she pretends to not like him at all, especially at the beginning of the series where she claims she's only following him so he can repay her for her damaged bike. In the Game Boy game, Kasumi (Misty) is the Gym Leader of Hanada (Cerulean) City; in the anime, her sisters are the Gym leader but she takes their place to fight Satoshi (Ash).

Kasumi prefers Pokemon of the water element, such as Staryu and Dragoon.

Japanese voice actor: Iizuka Mayumi (Nanaka in Mahou Tsukaitai, Sayuka in Shin Tenchi Muyo)

Takeshi, Satoshi, and Takeshi's father (I think?)Takeshi (Brock)

In the picture to the left, Takeshi's the boy with the green vest and the orange shirt.

Takeshi is the Gym Leader of Nibi City (Pewter City). His dream is to become a Pokemon breeder, but he can't leave his home because he has to take care of his ten brothers and sisters. His father had left the family several years before to become a Pokemon trainer, and his mother unfortunately passed away. He now travels with Satoshi (Ash) thanks to the fact that his father came back and offered to take care of his family. Quiet and full of ideas, Takeshi (Brock) helps Satoshi (Ash) to become the greatest Pokemon trainer in the world by offering ideas and Pokemon battle strategies.

Takeshi prefers Pokemon of the rock element.

Japanese voice actor: Ueda Yuuji (Suboshi and Amiboshi in Fushigi Yuugi)
