There are literally thousands of Tibet support groups throughout the world. Here are links to some of the most relevant sites. Students for a Free Tibet Head Office. Based in NY, SFT is perhaps the largest student-run, grassroots organization in the world with over 650 chapters. The Government of Tibet in Exile. The official website of the government in exile, with extensive articles, updates and information about Tibet. Canada Tibet Committee. Canada's own national support group. Besides a number of campaigns, CTC also publishes World Tibet News, a free daily newsletter about Tibet. Edmonton chapter contact: edmonton@tibet.ca. International Campaign for Tibet. A non-profit organization based in the U.S. and Europe, responsible for organizing and publishing materials for many of the urgent actions that we participate in at SFT. Tibet Online. The host of a variety of Tibetan support groups (including SFT), with a directory of all Tibet-related organizations throughout the world. Tibetan Nuns Project (www.tnp.org/). An organization funded by the Dalai Lama, which raises funds to set up schools and education programs for Tibetan nuns in exile. Buddhism in Edmonton: Gaden Samten Ling. Edmonton's own Tibetan Buddhist meditation society. International Buddhist Friends Association. Organizes and hosts a variety of activities and events, as well as promoting the Buddhadharma in Edmonton. Edmonton Buddhist Priory. An Edmonton based Soto Zen Buddhism meditation society.
