Godai is not very strong willed and decisive in life or for love. He gets intimidated very easily by the Looney Gang and is not aggressive enough to talk to women. He evaluates women based on what he sees in Porno magazines and can't think about anything else but getting in bed with them. His family is not very rich and he does not have a lot of money. He constantly resort to ramen for his meals; sometimes he eats nothing at all. He does not have any special skills nor is he good in academics. In fact, he is a "complete loser."

You might ask, "What's so good about him that is worth mentioning and just what does women see in a guy like him?" These are good questions.

Godai met Kozue Nanao when they worked together in a liquor store part-time. Godai considers Kozue-chan as merely a innoncent and "easy" girl by the way she acts. Godai is very grateful that Kozue is so dedicated to him and considers him as her boyfriend. However, being indecisive as he is, he doesn't know whether to break up with or just take advantage of her.

Godai met Yagami Ibuki when he worked as student teacher in Kyoko's former high school. Godai considers Yagami as an annoying, over-aggressive, and love-crazed high school girl who would do anything to interrupt his love life. However, he later finds out that Yagami might be his key to a bright future...
