Yotsuya lives in Room Four of Ikkoku-kan. As a member of the Looney Gang, he occupies the room next to Godai and lives in a self-made hole between the walls where it provides easy access to feed off of and intimidate his toy. His arsenal includes relentless intimidation, black-mail, and just acting weird enough that people give in to his demands. He is capable of unusual feats that include spinning dishes with chopsticks, piling beer bottles on top of each other supported by his mouth, squirming in and out of holes like a snake, and appearing anywhere at anytime to surprise his victims. He is a genuine leech who prefers to drink and eat at other people's expense, usually by blackmailing them into treating him.

Overall, the most distictive feature of Yotsuya-san is the mysterious aura surrounding his true identity. He goes under dozen aliases and leaves and returns to Ikkoku-kan daily from undisclosed locations. His real first name, origin, and date of birth are also unknown. Speculations of his identity range from him being the father of an illegitiment child to being a vampire or an unknown egg-hatching specie of Yotsuya-sans. In any case, he continues to baffle the inhabitants of Ikkoku-kan throughout the entire series. Will his true identity ever be revealed?

His Toy

Godai-san is Yotsuya-san's favorite toy. Godai's weak-willed nature and his pursuit of other women provides Yotsuya-san ample fuel for intimidation and black-mail. Since Godai's room is also next door and accessible through his hole, it provides additional reason not to leave Godai alone. He often extorts Godai for money, food, and entertainment (when he's bored). Yotsuya-san likes his toy very, very much!
