Mitaka Shun works as the coach of a private women's tennis club. Mitaka-san, known by local women for his great looks and shiny teeth, comes from a wealthy family and and is talented in almost everything he does. He lives in an expensive apartment and drives to and from work in his red Mitsubishi car. He is good in almost all sports and has his ways with women. He often dates the women from the tennis club, but these dates acts more to please his customers than himself. In addition to women and tennis, Mitaka collects classic music and opera records, hand-made dolls from various countries, and enjoy cooking gourment cuisine.

In all, Mitaka-san seems like the perfect man, capable of doing anything and getting anyone he likes, however he has one weakness which has been haunting him all his life. Due to a childhood incident, he became extremely afraid of dogs and because of his fear, he is unable to get too close to his love interest Kyoko-san who has Soichiro-san with her. As the series progresses, we will see whether he can overcome his fear or will it be the main cause for his downfall.

Love Interests

Mitaka-san first met Kyoko when she enrolled in his tennis club. Because of her great looks and mannerism, Mitaka became inflatuated with her. Kyoko presents a great challenge to him because of her reluctance to become intimate with him. Thus, being the man who never settled for failure or denial, Mitaka showers her with flowers and romantic dates in hopes of impressing her and someday, claiming his elusive prize.

Mitaka-san first met Asuna-san through an omiai setup by his uncle. He thinks of her as an old-fashioned, quiet, but well-raised woman. However, because of Asuna tastes and hobbies, he feels that they are very incompatible for each other. In addition, he is frustrated by the fact that his uncle relentlessly tries to set him up into marrying her.
