In spite of some rather pathetic research attempts, I still know next to nothing about this woman. However, this will not stop me from expressing my undying devotion to she who brings all those "oro"s and "de gozaru"s to life. According to Hitoshi Doi's seiyuu database, Rurouni Kenshin is Suzukaze-san's first and only anime, which boggles the mind. After RK finally--perish the thought--ends, she'll probably never need to work again, though I certainly hope she will. She does a fabulous job conveying Kenshin's distinctive character, and I can't imagine anyone else doing his voice (especially not an actual male--I mean, Kenshin minus the gender ambiguity just wouldn't be Kenshin.)

She's also, as I mention on the music reviews page, a darned fine singer. She did the vocal for the 2nd RK ending theme, "Namida wa Shitteiru" (VIDL-10799), and sang in 3 tracks on the Rurouni Kenshin Songs album (SRCL-3618-9). Aside from RK, she apparently released a solo album called "Mine" on the Sony label in 1996 (VICL-767). If anybody has info on this album, owns it, or has reviewed it, I'd love to hear about it. Also, though there is a sad dearth of info about Suzukaze-san in English, I know she has been interviewed by various Japanese anime/media magazines--if anyone has read these articles (or has any further information about her esteemed self) and would like to volunteer to share with the world, your efforts would be much appreciated.
