Anime Series

        Welcome to TCO's anime series review section. Below you'll find a listing of the various anime titles released in North America and currently available in some form at your local video store or rental shop. Each synopsis contains an overview of what the series is about, availability information, up to four opinions on the series from the folks who work on TCO, and links to other sites with in-depth information on the series if you want to learn more about it. This list is not exhaustive and doesn't cover everything we've seen yet so be sure to check back regularly as we'll be adding on as time passes.

All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku
This series answers the question of what you do when your son's pet cat has been mortally wounded, you're in desperate need for a bodyguard for him, and you happen to be an expert in android construction. Life would be so much cooler if everyone had a big sister like this!

Tenchi Muyo
"Curiosity killed the cat." is what Tenchi's grandfather had told him when he found him searching the old cave shrine where a demon was said to be entombed. "Good thing I'm not a cat." was Tenchi's reply. However, some legends have more truth behind them than others, although they don't always tell the whole story.

Urusei Yatsura
Urusei Yatsura roughly translates to Those Obnoxious Aliens. Before Ranma ½ Rumiko Takahashi kept herself busy with a different romantic comedy series. A classic love story between the most lecherous boy on the planet and the alien girl who loves him.
